TYPICAL DOOR TO DOOR SERVICES
At Origin:
- Pre-move survey by one of Vermillion's National Moving & Storage Association Certified Moving Consultants
- Moving agreement, in writing, specifying included services and price
- Professional packing in new cartons and export wrapping using paper backed bubble wrap
- Disassembly of selected items for safe shipping
- Professional crating of necessary items
- Loading of shipment into shipping container (steamship containers, lift vans, or tri-wall air containers)
- Preparation of origin documentation (no deductible full replacement insurance available upon request)
While In Transit:
- Inland transportation from your residence to our warehouse, then to port of exit
- Port handling (origin)
- Ocean/Air transportation
- Port handling (destination)
- Customs clearance
- Inland transportation from port to delivering agent's warehouse, then to your residence
At Destination:
- Unloading of container, unpacking and unwrapping
- Placing furniture per customer's request
- Reassembly of any disassembled items per customer's request
- Debris removal (on delivery day)
- Follow-up and free claim assistance
Services not included but available at additional cost:
- Customs duties and taxes
- Inspections ordered by customs
- Container demurrage (storage at the port)
- Any unusual delivery requirements, such as long carries, elevators, and hoisting services
